In response to Traci's request, I want to share with you my favorite books on meditation. These books have helped me immensely. After reading them, I realized that you don't have to be seated in lotus position with a lit candle in order to meditate. You can do it while walking, while commuting, while washing the dishes, or while sitting at your desk at work. For me, its about practicing mindfulness: noticing the coolness of the air or the warmth of the sun, or the quality of the light around me, which somehow stills the mind and allows me to pause, relax and breathe.
Oh, thank you so much for that. I was planning on stopping to pick up Mel's book today for the Barren Bitches Bookclub and now I will pick up the Dalai Lama too. BTW-I did my silly dance for you so I hope it helps today. I have the link to the song I picked on my blog. :-)
